Industrial Energy Plant
Our MVV Industriekraftwerk Ludwigshafen GmbH subsidiary supplies five customers directly on site at the Ludwigshafen South Industrial Park with electricity, gas, steam, compressed air, drinking, untreated, decarbonated and desalinated water.

The comprehensive, decentralised supply of energy to industry is just one impressive example of our activities in the high-growth field of energy services.

In order to supply our industrial customers, we have built or acquired numerous energy and environmental technology facilities, and operate them on the basis of contracting models. The range of services we offer to our municipal and housing clients also includes supplying residential and building complexes with energy, as well as infrastructure supply projects undertaken in the context of land improvement and development. Our individual supply solutions enable us to strengthen our business relationships with existing industrial, commercial and municipal clients and to acquire new clients.

Both sides benefit from the range of services we supply: our clients can focus on their core businesses, do not need to commit any capital and can thus secure their energy supply at favourable and predictable prices without incurring any risk. Our expertise enables valuable resources to be saved and means that we are able to generate positive earnings contributions following the initial investment stage.

What makes energy services a high-growth area? The market for energy services in Germany is growing at an astonishing rate - its average annual growth is estimated to be around 15%. We have been active in this market for several years and are now one of the ten largest providers.

The sharing of expertise and experience within our network of municipal utility companies strengthens all of its individual members. The same applies to our activities in the field of energy services. Each new municipal utility company enables us to access further potential for marketing our energy services in the respective catchment area. In Offenbach, EVO focuses its activities on contracting and technical facility management; Stadtwerke Ingolstadt focuses on providing contracting services to municipalities. Together with our shareholding in Solingen, we have founded a joint subsidiary which is very active in providing contracting services to housing construction companies. Köthen Energie, on the other hand, has enjoyed considerable success in the field of land improvement and development in Sachsen-Anhalt.
