MVV Energie has succeeded in doing this with its installation personnel by training combined steam and pipe fitters, called "combi-fitters": Instead of 45,000 connections for only one segment, the combi-fitters can take care of up to 135,000 connections in all of our segments (electric, heating, gas and water) in Mannheim. Getting the job done at consumers’ sites faster and more efficiently is what counts most for customers and what pays best for us.
