We have combined our traditional core competencies with innovative solutions, which have enabled us to offer our customers electric power, district heating, gas, water, and waste management as well as value-added services and telecommunications. Our Europe-wide energy trading now numbers among the leading energy-trading enterprises in Germany.

MVV Energie AG continues to grow: We have acquired participations in distribution utilities and value-added services providers both in Germany and abroad. Moreover, we have been investing specifically in decentralised energy generation from renewable energy sources. In so doing, we have been concentrating on biomass, wind power and photovoltaics. Owing to strategic participations in young technological enterprises, we have gained access to new and promising key technologies. Since 1999 we have been listed on the stock exchange as the first municipal public utility in Germany.
