We are convinced that real profitability in energy markets can best be realised in the areas of distribution and end-consumer business. Consequently, our strategic objective is to achieve greater growth by expanding our firm position as a regional distribution utility. In the Rhine-Neckar region, MVV Energie AG has traditionally enjoyed a strong position. It has a customer base of 98% among the residents of that region. We can thus increase our business with end-consumers only by expanding into other regions. Thanks to our participations in energy utilities, we are in the meantime represented in such major economic regions as Rhine-Main, Rhine-Ruhr and Bavaria. We are aiming at acquiring additional participations.
