We have been accelerating our corporate strategies throughout Europe. In so doing, we have been focussing on acquiring district-heating utilities in countries about to be admitted to the EU, such as Poland and the Czech Republic. And for good reason: MVV Energie AG’s expertise in district heating has encountered highly developed district-heating networks in both countries. Moreover, the economic and political circumstances are stable in both countries and additional economic perspectives have been given new impetus by the impending admission to the European Union. In addition to this focus in Eastern Europe, a number of projects in Western Europe have been underscoring our commitment.
