Roland Hartung (64), since 1988 managing director of MVV GmbH and chief executive officer at MVV Energie AG since it went public in 1999, has been confirmed in both functions for an additional two years until September 30, 2003.
Mr. Hartung, who was born in Mannheim on April 13, 1936, has served as commercial director of MVV GmbH and as a member of the executive board of all of the dependent enterprises of the MVV Group since July 1, 1988.
As chief executive officer of MVV Energie AG, Roland Hartung has managed the restructuring of the enterprise in the recently deregulated German energy markets. Under his leadership, MVV Energie AG successfully went public in March 1999.
